    Hi,

We tried activating plugin ninjafirewall after WP upgrade and it is throwing error mu-plugins/ is not writable. we get this on main server, whereas the same plugin worked fine in lower environments.

What could be the reason and what are the steps to resolve it.

Can you connect over FTP and check if the wp-content/mu-plugins/ folder exists:
    * If it exists, can you make sure it is writable by PHP? You can change its permissions (chmod).
    * It is doesn’t exists, can you create it over FTP?

Yes mu-plugins folder exists and it has folder permissions.
please let me know exactly which permission will work.
