[NinjaFirewall] Security rules update every hour

  • Since yesterday I am receing the same mail every hour that rules have been updated.

    Same rules,

    Rules version: 2024-01-26.1
    <span style=”background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); margin: 0px;”> </span>same email, different timestamp of course.

    it’s like something stuck and updates itself every hour.

    NinjaFirewall security rules have been updated:

    Blog:xxxx

    Rules version: 2024-01-26.1

    Date: Jan 28, 2024 @ 11:39:03 +0200

    This notification can be turned off from NinjaFirewall “Security Rules” page.

    no error_log in plugin folder or admin or public_html so I can’t find anything to work this out.

    PHP 8.1, a few disabled functions, maybe something is needed ?

    Can you go to NinjaFirewall > Dashboard and check if the rules version matches “2024-01-26.1” ?

    It seems the firewall can’t save its rules. It saves them to the option table in the DB, using the WordPress update_option function.
    Did you install any plugin that could interfere with that operation lately?
    Try to update the rules manually : “NinjaFirewall > Security Rules > Check for updates now”.
