• If this has been posted on before, I apologize; I did run a couple searches, to no avail.
I use the present comment moderation system in WP1.0.2 on one of my sites; when I go to approve a comment, I often choose to reply from within the admin section [hey, the comment box is there, why not use it?].
The frustrating thing is that said comment must then be approved. While it’s not a huge deal [I’m already on a screen that can approve it], it just seems a bit hackneyed.

I reckon that I should open a bug on SF about this.

Comments made through the admin interface probably should be automatically approved. However this is a less of a problem with 1.2 when you can fine-tune what goes into moderation and what doesn’t.

I’m testing 1.2 before I upgrade my regular blog and I’m noticing that the comment option has changed from open/close to allow/not allow. In the options I have the degault set to allow (noticing that it says I can override the setting per post), but if I go edit a post or create a new one and uncheck the allow comments option it doesn’t override the global setting.
