    Hi,

hope you can help me …
after a smooth upgrade to 2.7.1 I have no access to my admin dashboard.
I’ve controled the mySQL tables and it seems all is fine. I have admin rights and I’m the only user.
I can log in but get this message instead of the dashboard:

“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page”

I’ve disabled the plugin folder: no result.
Changing the rights of some files in the wp-admin folder: no result.
Setting the wp_admin/index.php to CHMOD 777: error 500.

The frontend is viewable with no problems and fully functional.

So I have no idea what to change to get access to my backend.

Hope someone here have a good idea.

    Thanks a lot

    sjoeberg

Did you by chance, change anything in your database? Change the table prefixes maybe?

Yes I have changed the table prefixes before upgrading and changed the prefix also in the wp-config.php before I hit the “upgrade now” button.

If there is a problem with the MySQL-DB I think I wouldn’t see the Frontend … right? But I see it… mysterious.

There is the problem. I did that myself on a clients site a few days ago and got the same error. Not sure where it is, but there must be something in the database that is looking for the prefixes in some way. What I did was dump the database, do a search and replace to change the prefixes, drop the tables and then imported the changed sql file…all worked well doing it that way.

Wow, thank you very much. That was it! Now all is fine and work well, as you said.

    Thanks again !
