no access to WP-admin anymore !

    Hello,
    everything on my website was smooth until this monring i wake up to find out that i’m no longer able to access to the new path of wp-admin
    it keeps redirecting me toward the home page. after disabling the plugin theough cpanel i gain access to wp-admin without any problems. I tried to disable all other plugins on my website and i let only your plugin works and the problem didn’t resolve. i really don’t know how to keep thep plugin works because i really need to as i’ve changed the pathway for most of my files and this could affect my SEO and site performance !

    any help ?

    Hi, Thank you for reaching out.

    It’s not a common issue but as you described it looks like the .htaccess file (if you have Apache server) was updated without calling the WordPress flush function and probably another installed plugin removed the Hide My WP rewrite rules.

    To prevent this, change the permission to .htaccess file to read-only to make sure there are no automatic changes to config file.

    If you have linux server, set the .htaccess file to 0400 or 0440 when you don’t work on your website and to 0640 when you want to offer access for plugins to change rules.
    For windows servers, you can set read-only from file property.
