• Hello!

All of my admin users are receiving the following message: “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” I have confirmed in the DB wp_user_meta table that the capabilities and user level are correct (or that’s what my research thus far would tell me). This happens for /wp-admin and even /wp-admin/profile.php, which should be accessible .

After an associate upgraded to WP 3.4.1 through the Dashboard, which failed, I manually reuploaded all the files and changed the version db number, and manually ran /wp-admin/upgrade.php. I then tried disabling plugins and themes, and verifying some of the information in the database.

So to recap, I’ve tried the following since the botched upgrade:
    – Manually reuploaded all files except /wp-content
    – Manually changed the db version number and re-run upgrade.php — it said it was successful
    – Confirmed levels and capabilities for admins of “10” and “a:1:{s:13:”administrator”;b:1;}”
    – Renamed the plugins folder to plugins_old and uploaded a blank plugins folder (this had no effect)
    – Renamed the themes folder to themes_old and uploaded the default version of the themes folder that was included with WP 3.4.1 (this caused my public website to show a blank page, but didn’t grant me access)

It’s a live website, so I haven’t tried physically deleting all files except wp-content and then reuploading them. Hopefully that’s not the proposed solution to regaining access. But as it stands, the front end of the website is available but no content can be edited.

Please help! I’m on a non-GoDaddy Linux installation with a typical LAMP setup.
