No albums thumbnail

@il_magnus – Have you tried setting your WordPress Permalinks to something other than the “Default” such as “Post name” or “Month name” and then clearing your image cache under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous?

I cannot use the IGW due to this popup error:

The requested URL /nuovo/nextgen-attach_to_post was not found on this server.

I a similar problem. I have albums created before I did the 2.0 upgrade. Post upgrade, half of the galleries have thumbs, the others don’t. Looking at the code for the thumb, there is no source i.e. src=””. I’ve tried dumping the cache, tried generating new thumbs for the galleries, tried inserting via the new system (I assume IGW) but still can’t get an image in there. Appreciate any suggestions.

Anyone else thinking a means for controlling the gallery image within a given album w/b nice?

I tried also to uninstall the plugin, clen the MySQL database, reinstall it creating a new path for the galleries… No changes, it doesn’t work.
I also tried to rollback to 1.9.13 without success.

@il_magnus – What did you do to “clean the MySQL database”? … and if you removed all NextGEN Gallery references then your previously added images/galleries will no longer be referenced and you will have to re-add them (or import them into NextGEN Gallery).

Yes I tried to remove all NextGEN Gallery references to create again from scratch all galleries and albums but the problem still persist.

@il_magnus – Did you re-upload / import the images into NextGEN Gallery?

@il_magnus, And, did you choose a “preview image” in Manage Galleries > Gallery?

@cais: Yes, no import but I re-upload the image by FTP to try to create from scratch the galleries.

@il_magnus – Uploading via FTP will not have NextGEN Gallery know they are there … unless you are uploading to existing gallery folders and using the Scan Folder for new images button.

@photocratic – I’m not newbie, this is (I think) the twentieth website that I manage with WordPress and it’s not the first time that I use NextGEN Gallery. We are going away from the problem. I set everything in the right way including gallery path and preview image of the album; the galleries work fine (with thumbnails, lightbox and so on). IGW still not work as the album thumbnail.

@il_magnus – Perhaps you need to re-state the issue(s) at hand, I may have missed something in all of these responses and seeing it all in one place may provide a clue as to what the underlying causes are.

@il_magnus, Yes, you forgot to explain the beginning of the issue. It’s not clear if all worked well before, and when album preview stopped working, in other words when the problem or problems (there are more than one?) started, after which action (upgrade?).
We aren’t in your installation, or in your back-end, the questions are less obvious than you think, and nobody is trying to “going away”, only trying to understand.
Probably you don’t have “set everything in the right way”, you have done something wrong in your not-so-clear passages to uninstall and re-install, or elsewhere.
It seems an URL path issue. Do you have a custom path, a custom folder? The thumbnails have the right path, the preview don’t.
Where does /nuovo/nextgen-image/11/91×68/crop/ come from? You have to investigate on this.
In regards at the IGW issue isn’t even clear what relation has with the album’s thumbnail issue.
If the IGW button doesn’t work could be a conflict with the theme or plugins, so did you try the standard troubleshooting, that you surely know with the experience you say you have?
