Hi! I am having recurring problems regarding “NO API key provided” error. Namely:

“no api key provided. (hint: set your api key using “stripe::setapikey()”. you can generate api keys from the stripe web interface. see https://stripe.com/api for details, or email [email protected] if you have any questions.”

It appears while testing payment via “Sofort Ueberweisung” and “Giro Payment” gateways on my new site after automatic return to the checkout screen. I tested once in a live mode and the payment went through and landed in my Stripe account. However, the error pops up anyway after return to checkout screen. At the same time Woocommerce sends me automatic “Payment failed” and “Payment succeded” notifications, both at the same time. with I checked with Stripe support and they see no failures on their side and all API keys are inserted correctly. Their reply:

“I tried to deep dive to your Stripe account, it looks like WooCommerce is passing an empty parameter with its source update calls to Stripe. It could be a small oversight or system glitch that is causing the errors.

I wish I could be of a bit more help here to fix this, but since WooCommerce is creating API calls on your behalf, you will not be able to edit the plugin’s Stripe API integration (they are the ones who built their integration with Stripe) and you’ll want to have their support review the error and update the source creation calls to remedy the errors . They’ll be best able to help you with this directly.”

Since I am a free user, I am not privileged to get any support from Woocommerce. Could you please help me in solving that? Many thanks in advance!

    Sofia
