No Archive Template

  • Hi all-

    The problem I’m trying to solve is with a free wordpress theme called BlockStock. I’m trying to troubleshoot why the main Archives are kind of screwed up and not functioning properly. I’m not new to WordPress and have configured dozens of sites, but I’m fully aware it could still be me missing something.

    It seems some themes have both an archive.php and an archives.php, but this one only has an archive.php. I thought it might be missing a file until I downloaded another similar theme (techykind) from the same site and the same issue happened.

    The main archives page does not work and there is no archive template to select under attributes. The static pages I’ve created (such as archives, about, etc.) are assigned the default “post” category, so when I click on the category link, I do get the archives for that category with a minor formatting issue. If anyone has a moment to download and try this themes archives, I would appreciate your thoughts. It’s located here: https://www.wpthemedesigner.com/2009/10/15/blockstock/
