  • @bonnypiscione Maybe you’ve done some modifications in theme code during this last week, because in your source I see some extra-space at the top of your pages that shouldn’t be there.
Try with a WordPress default theme and see if it works.

@bonnypiscione – Might be a jQuery version conflict: Version 1.4.2 of the jQuery library seems to be loaded on the page from the Andromeda theme, then Version 1.10.2 (the WordPress “standard” jQuery version bundled with WP 3.8.2) is loaded, from NextGen Gallery from what it seems.

Having two jQuery versions on the same page is quite likely to lead to conflict issues (I have had that issue a year ago, took me 3 days to figure out that it was the problem).

Question is: why does the Andromeda theme load jQuery 1.4.2 instead of loading the one bundled with WordPress 3.8.2? I would direct the question to the Theme Author(s).

i have the same issue. i have an older WP bbpress site that still has the arrows on the gallery pics. another 3 week old WP only site with no arrows, same as bonny. i do NO custom CSS, code, i have no ability to do so. i only use plugins. both these sites have almost the same plugins. i was thinking the old nextgen install had a Backend Setting/Option to make the arrows show and the newer version of nextgen had that option auto off? one thing the site with no longer arrows has is the plugin Meta Slider which do you think could change nextgen settings?

    thank you!

Same problem here. I’ve gone through all the settings and tested several different options to no avail. When you click on the thumbnail, instead of going to gallery slideshow with navigation, it’s going to the media file URL. I use custom themes but on other sites with custom themes, the gallery works. That really stumps me!

    Thanks!
