No author in post

    I cant get the author of the contact 7 form to pass to the post with this plugin.

    I have set the Post Author to ‘Hook with a filter’ and copy pasted the cf7_2_post_filter-post-author code into my functions.php file for the theme.

    My posts are publishing with a blank author.

    if you disable this hook, what author is being set?

    I reckon the error is coming from your functions.php hooked function.

    I removed the hook and it is now passing the author without any set. That was easy. thanks!

    great! please note, the author field expects an author ID. Any other non-integer values, or an ID which does not correspond to an actual user account will simply be ignored.
