No automatic update of GeoIP DB

  • Hello, I use the plugin for several months. The function “Schedule Monthly Update of GeoIP DB” is enabled and show me for “next runtime” the time “3. January 1970 @ 11:21”.

    If I use “Update database” for “GeoIP Collection” or “GeoIP City”, the website download the new files and I will see it at wp-statistics by FTP-connection.

    However, it seems to me the automatic download don’t work.

    I found in an older article the note for “WP Crontrol”. I installed that plugin and it look like there are several WP Events for “wp_statistics” inlcuding “wp_statistics_geoip_hook”, which will be showed after enabling of “Schedule Monthly Update of GeoIP DB”.

    I’m able to run that WP Event successful, but nothing happens.

    Please for help.

    Some additional information: I use WordPress 5.6 and WP-Statistics 13.0.5.

    Hi,

    By the way the function to do automatic update for “Matomo Referrer Spam”-Blacklist work without troubles. I see as next time a valid date.

    The next date for GeoIP is wrong and some years in the back.

    I have still the same problem and found the problem on different websites. It would be nice to get a fix.
