No backups found after site hack

    I fell victim to this vulnerability and my site was hacked 15 days ago. https://thehackernews.com/2020/02/themegrill-wordpress-plugin.html

    Unfortunately my host one.com only saves backups for the past 14 days.

    I was able to import an old sql file from 2015 to get old content and access my wordpress dashboard. However, BackupGuard now shows no backups.

    I’m sure I had it turned on and backing up automatically but I don’t know where those backups will be now. Is there any way of getting them back?

    Hi @bethgranter2,

    I am sorry for this.
    See, all the backups are stored in this directory by default:
    /wp-content/uploads/backup-guard/

    Please try checking the backup there.
    There are some cases the directory is being changed for instance like this:
    /wp-content2/uploads/backup-guard/

    Also, can you please check the dropbox of yours as it may have been stored there.
