    Hello @pinoooo,

    Thank you for the feedback.

Could you share more information about the issue and the settings of the post that caused it? With a brand new WordPress, I am not able to recreate the issue as all cache is flushed once the new post goes live. Could you take a look if the issue exists if you create a post that will be published and goes live rather than keeping it as a draft?

    Best Regards,

I am using WP 5.9.3 with SGO 7.0.9.

When I choose “Publish immediately”, everything is fine: The cache is purged and the new post is visible on the homepage.
When I schedule a new post, only 1 variable changes. I click next to ‘Publish immediately’ on the ‘edit’-button and select the desired time. When the desired time is reached, the new post is not immediately visible on the homepage. This can take up to 12 hours, when SGO flushes the cache again.
(In the meantime, the new post/page is visible when I’m logged in.)

This has worked in the past. Unfortunately, I don’t know which version number.

    Hello @pinoooo

I tried to replicate the same behavior but to no avail. The scheduled post was published immediately and the cache was flushed by the plugin.

The same was tested with File-Base caching is enabled with a long time intervals.

If possible please provide us with your website so we can inspect the plugins and theme it uses. The issue might be caused due to a conflict with another plugin. You can also test the same behavior on Vanilla WordPress and see if you are able to replicate it with a default setup.

    Best regards,

@pinoooo Under no circumstances should you use shortlinks ever again on this site.

Do not use short links in these forums, that has been abused in the past and is expanded when found. I have expanded yours into the link field. That field cannot be seen by any search engine and is only visible to logged in users of this forum.

    Hello @pinoooo

The website was placed by the forum moderator under your initial post for this topic.

Following that, I inspected the website in question and I found no posts present under the Post menu within your WordPress application.

We will need more details and the exact steps we need to take in order to replicate the reported issue. You are also welcome to open a ticket through your Client Area with SiteGround where the communication will not be publicly available.

    Best regards,
    Georgi Ganchev

Thanks for looking at this problem. I use Custom Post Types.
I will contact customer service tomorrow. Are there any specific things you want to know? (Actually, the steps are no different than described above) Or to whom do I address the ticket?

Update for people following this topic:

The SiteGround Optimizer plugin was patched on the testing site and now the cache should be automatically purged shortly after a scheduled post goes live. The patch is expected to be included by default in one of the plugin’s next updates.
