Shipping class methods ignored on sidecart

I have a shipping class for a product that doesn’t have free shipping method (configured through you plugin settings),
but if I add that product to cart the sidepanel panel shows wrongly free shipping method beeing applied
but if I go to the cart page the correct shipping class is picked up (no free shipping)
Is there a hook I can use to attach the logic currently used on the cart page also on the sidecart panel?
