just to narrow down the problem and help us debug the issue is it possible to try the following temporarily:

    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems

If this narrows down the problem:
When the plugin Autoptimize is active, full calendar works with Firefox an Chrome as well. But the language changes to english instead of german.

    hi guys;
I’m autoptimize’s developer, maybe try adding
    WPFC.
to the comma-seperated Javascript optimization exclusion list?

    Hi @frank

Tried adding the WPFC to the js exclusion but unless Autooptimise (great plugin) is deactivated the calendar does not show.

Is there a particular JS file that should be used?

Is there a particular JS file that should be used?

that’s actually something which the WPFC’s developers would be better placed to tell you BeHeard ??

Thanks Frank – unfortunatly getting any assistance from the devs is proving mighty illusive.
Anyways at the moment its a toss up which great plugin to use Groan

Thanks Frank for posting here. I hope that the full calendar devs hang in here too. If someone finds the right JS to exclude, please tell us.

Well, if someone has a non-production site (preferably just stock WP + WP FC + AO), I’ll be happy to look into this to try to help identify what AO-config works best for WP FC.

Hi, I’m sorry for not pitching in earlier, but just to be clear:

When the plugin Autoptimize is active, full calendar works with Firefox an Chrome as well.

Are you saying the plugin works only if Autoptmize is ACTIVE? Normally it’s the opposite. Did you try FC with other plugins disabled?

I tested your site on Chrome and Safari, working for me at the moment.

    Hi Marcus

For some reason it is working now with Autoptimize turned on and off. But when Autoptimize is activated, the calendar is in english and not in german. The correct language I get only when Autoptimize is inactive. It is no big issue as long as I get the calendar displayed.

    Thanks for updating us.

Are you using a translation plugin of some kind, or is it WP running only in German?

    (@filz51)

Only for Woocommerce I use a translation plugin. WP is running in German only.

@futtta I’m happy to give you access to a testing site to figure out if there’s any specific setup issues. That said, I think the issue now is not a settings issue so it may not be necessary anymore.

I just tested this out and I can reproduce this too.

Funnily enough I also see that without the plugin the month is not translated, but that seems to be the same for the normal EM calendar as well.

Will look into these two issues. Thanks for getting back to me despite the delay!

    Plugin Author Marcus (aka @msykes)

    (@netweblogic)

    hi @filz51, turns out I can’t reproduce this :/

I was looking at April 2016 in German in my comment above, turns out April is the same in German! Now I’m checking May and it correctly loads as ‘Mai’ using previous setup I had to ‘reproduce’ the bug.

I’m looking closer at your site now and I see that there is a JS error, and it’s related to the calendar plugin:

“Uncaught ReferenceError: moment is not defined”.

Also, I get the issue in all browsers, so my guess is it’s a specific setup you have in Autoptimize and the reason you see it in some browsers is because you’re not logged in as an admin on those browsers.

Therefore, we’re back to you testing your autoptimize settings.

@beheard – We include one JS file as well as depending on WP’s jQuery:

    /wp-content/plugins/wp-fullcalendar/includes/js/main.js

If you can maybe provide a screenshot of your settings, maybe we can reproduce it, otherwise try adding main.js as an excluded autoptimize file.
