No caption for image in ‘Media & Text block’? – Gutenberg

Since Gutenberg is now built into WordPress as the Block Editor, this is a better place for these questions.

I believe the caption was left out of the Media and Text block, since it’s assumed that the “and Text” part would be some sort of caption.

Have you tried an Image block instead? Follow the steps at https://gogutenberg.com/blocks/image/

It’s pretty easy to add a caption to that and align it similarly to the Media and Text block.

@macmanx I tried with an image block but I don’t get the same layout, I can’t get full width for example, and the spaces between elements are larger.
