    @adelinehorry

    i installed 404 Solution but it seems i cant get any captured URLS in 404 Solution.
    Im using VPS host for this new website and im pretty sure that`s the cause.
    Do you have any idea how to connect it to 404 Solution to work?

    On VPS i can only access my captured logs from inside Panel , i`m using Cent OS 7 with cyberpanel version 2.1

    PS On shared hosting 404 solution on my other websites works just fine.

    Please turn on debug logging to see what’s happening. Under the Options tab, Advanced Settings Etc, at the bottom, check the box next to debug logging. Then click Save at the bottom. Try a URL that doesn’t exist to test capturing a 404.

    Then go back to the options page at the same location and choose “View” the debug log. Paste the contents at pastebin.com and create a new link. Then paste the newly created pastebin.com URL here so I can see the contents. Do not paste the log file contents here as it breaks the wordpress forum.

    thanks

  • Hi

    It took a while but it seems it captures urls now without me doing anything.
    Ill recreate the old pages meanwhile and by chance i kept this website in http as it was , would i still need to recreate 301 redirects for old pages, not to loose backlinks etc? To mention im working with an expired domain.

    Thank you

    The redirects will work with or without http or https if the destination you’ve specified is a page or post. If the destination is saved as “external” where it save the full https://... or https://... then the difference between http and https matters.

    And also would appreciate a tip about : i created already new pages and i want to do redirect , i have about 20k old url but how can i access them to hit the automatic redirect? Is there a tool for such thing?

    I don’t understand what you want to do exactly, but if you want to do a general redirect I would look at using .htaccess.
