• omfg I am pulling my hair out and wondering why I didn’t just program everything from scratch like I used to back in the day. For the life of me I can’t seem to get the “categories” section on the homepage to display the categories I have created for my woocommerce products. I have searched every forum. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the theme. The only thing I haven’t done is start from a blank LAMP server and reinstall wordpress. I am very, very unhappy because EVERYTHING WORKED FINE and then of course I show this website to a client and everything goes to shit and makes me look horrible. All I need is ON THE HOMEPAGE to have the “Product Categories” display ANYTHING BUT “no categories”. No matter how many times I try I can’t get the “Product Categories” to work. THE ONLY THING IT DISPLAYS IS “No Categories” I am going crazy I think lol…anyone experience this? HEEEEEEEELP ??

NOTE: Why can’t I delete this stupid question from the wordpress support webiste?????

WOW!!! I guess I am a n00b…even though I’ve been a software dev for over 10 years I still manage to amaze myself and others just how stupid I really am sometimes…To my defense I did have the site working but after an update it changed..still a noob mistake

SOLUTION: Go to your DashBoard >> Right hand side, click [Widgets] >> Towards the middle look for [Sidebar] widget. There will be multiple selections/options under the [Sidebar] widget. Find [Categories]. (Notice that it says “Categories” not “PRODUCT CATEGORIES!!”) >> Click the down arrow on [Categories] then click delete >> Left side of the page [Available Widgets] scroll down and find [Product Categories] >> Drag and drop [Product Categories] into the [Sidebar] Widget back at the top. After this the problem is solved!
