• Hi,

I have a problem with WordPress. I want to add a portfolio to the website with entries divided into categories or tags. In the “Portfolio” section, I have the option to add entries or see a list and that’s all:

In the individual portfolio entries also there is no option to assign the entry to a category:

I have updated WordPress and all plugins to the latest version.

Any ideas what can I do about it?

Ok, I already know where is the problem. The default porfolio does not have a category when I have active:

So… in order to use it, I have to disable these plugins and see if I really need them. I didn’t think that it could have an impact ??

    Thank you!

install health check plugin which can be used in troubleshooting mode to deactivate all plugins and theme? might help (further) narrow down the source of the issue? https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/

a custom post type needs to specifically support taxonomies (i.e. categories, etc.) – if the custom post type is provided from an activated plugin – it would be helpful to ask that plugin’s developers about allowing support for taxonomies.
