    How do I set up an event registration form for a FREE event?

    I can’t find the right setting to enable a FREE event.

    Hi @planeo8,

    If there is any product field in your user registration form, please remove it. That’ll make user registrations from your form free of any payments.

    Thanks for your response.

    I am getting an error message of

    Error thrown

    Call to undefined function str_contains()

    I thought it was because I didn’t have the “free” event set up correctly.

    Any idea what this error is referring to?

    Hi @planeo8,

    Could you please update the PHP version on your server to PHP 8 and then check again.

    Thank you…that resolved the error message and I was able to submit a test registration and received the confirmation on my PC screen.

    But, I did not receive an email saying someone registered for my test event…and “Submissions” is not an active link on the dashboard so I can’t look at the submission I just entered.

    Thank for your help.

    Hi @planeo8,

    Form submissions are available in the Inbox menu of RegistrationMagic backend.

    Regarding the email, could you please check if you received the email in Spam. Also, please check sending a test email from Global Settings -> Email Configuration settings and let us know if that is working fine or not.

    Thank you for your responses.

    The Notification emails arrived after about 30 minutes on the day I asked about them. Since then, they arrive within 5 minutes.
