    Hello,

Upon trying to sign up for your free sending service, I don’t receive the confirmation email. I’m able to sign in, but see the following message:

“Check your inbox now to confirm your email address and continue your order.”

I had made sure to enter the correct email address, which I later verified by going to Account > Addresses, where I see it as it should be. I have also checked my Spam folder as well as the Promotions and Updates sections of my email account (which is on Gmail), but the confirmation email didn’t land there either. I’m really looking forward to try the service, but can’t do so because of this issue.

I saw that also other users have (had) the same problem and in the case of Haroon Q. Raja (@hqraja) it has been solved. But my comment on that thread – as well as the comments of other users facing the same problem – have been deleted and it is not clear, how the problem has been solved.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I haven’t received a confirmation email for the free sending plan. I tried signing up for the $10 per month plan and still received no confirmation email.

I read this response from MailPoet in this thread:

“Because of a complicated SPF issue with our mailpoet.com domain, some of these emails couldn’t be delivered properly. We now fixed that problem and if anyone of you haven’t yet received the confirmation emails, please write us over here and we’ll manually activate your accounts: https://www.mailpoet.com/support/wordpress-forums/ (no need for username and password)

    Sorry for the inconvenience.”

So I used that form which would not send without my creation of a username and password. I then received this email:

“Hello! This is an auto reply.

You’ve reached the free support’s inbox. MailPoet no longer provides support by email to free users. Use the WordPress Forums instead.

If we asked you to to fill the contact form via the WordPress Forums, please update your topic there to let us know that you wrote to us here since we don’t systematically check this inbox.

    The MailPoet Team”

So I am following instructions and posting here. I have to say, I’ve been setting up MailPoet to replace MailChimp and it was going well up to this point. I’m frustrated that I can’t get a confirmation email from a company whose business is sending emails.

    Hi @kathcom.
Don’t worry. They will respond within a few days, even if you get this automated message.
Other option – also very low in price – is to send the mails via Amazon SES. That works fine and you can even install a special plugin for the bounce-handling. I used that also and am very content with that possibility.

Thanks for the information and reassurance. I was up most of the night working on different issues and this one has me stymied. I didn’t even realize I’d written a reply to you rather than a regular comment in this thread.

Unfortunately, I post almost every day and need a working newsletter sending schedule. I need to figure this out quickly.

You only wrote a reply in this thread, and as I opened the thread, I get a message when a new comment is posted.
Check the Amazon SES possibility. It took me only a short time to set it up (as I already had an account at AWS) and then I had to wait for a few hours to get out of the “sandbox”. Now I can send 50.000 maisl per month and only pay 0,10 $ per 1.000 mails if I go through amazon. And the opening and response quote is very high, which shows me that not many mails get stuck in Spam.
