I know this is an ever returning topic but still cant figure it out. Sort of ‘out of the blue’ my admin pages return completely blank. Source page as well. Individual admin pages same thing. I’m running on my localhost with MAMP and WP 3.0.1 What i did try:
    – reuploaded admin files
    – deleted htaccess file

Front end is fine. Apache error log doesn’t say much. Anyone with a solution understandable for a non-techy like myself? Not happy with a clean install … Thanks.

Try manually resetting your plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the Twenty Ten theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can affect the admin panel).

That’s very helpful, thanks. Renaming the theme dir did open the admin panel again. So this must be a theme issue than. mmmm. This problem might show up again as it did before but at least now I have a ‘work around’. Thanks anyway for helping me out here James.
