No "Default language" option available

Hi,

I have searched quite a lot before posting this support request.

I am unsure why, but there is no “Default language” option available. I am working on an Italian website and the admin interface is also in Italian (this is probably not relevant).

Polylang is up to date.

Permalink settings:
– custom

Static front page:
– yes

Polylang settings:
– two languages (en/it)
– remove /language/ from pretty permalinks
– URL of initial page shows the language code
