    Hi there,

I’ve successfully installed the plugin and have used it to compress all the css elements on the site with the asset management tool – the plugin is registering a 35.3% compression saving.

However, looking at my pagespeed insights result, the render blocking resource time impact hasn’t reduced – it was previously at 9.13 seconds and is now at 9.12 seconds.

I can see that all the css elements are now named …hummingbird-assets/xyz but they don’t seem to have improved the performance of the site.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Felix

    Hi Felix,

I checked your site and it seems that JS files are having a bigger impact on your overall performance than CSS files so I would suggest trying to optimize as many of those as possible as well.

When you go to Hummingbird > Asset Optimization panel you can enable Advanced mode on the right side and that will give you further optimization options for your files.
This does require some additional tweaking and checking the site after the changes to make sure everything is running properly as some files don’t handle the optimization properly and would need to be left disabled for such file(s).

    Cheers,
    Predrag
