Are you trying to allow an XLSM file to be downloaded? Can you test something, create a test page or post. Add a download file but this time make it a zip or pdf file. Let me know if you still see all the gibberish…

    Thank You!

when I used a pdf, then this has been opened in the browser.
When I used a .zip, then comes a correctly download-screen.

Hi, does that mean that you are just having issues with XLSM file. If that is correct why don’t you zip the XLSM file and add it as a download?

If that helps you and you don’t need any more help can you mark this support thread as resolved?

Of corse, but that is the last option.
I want to save the user this step…

    Otherwise, when i use zip’s, so i dont need a download plug-in.
This will always be interpreted by the browser as a download ??

May you have a other idea for me.

    Thank You!

You will have to research yourself through Google.

This is a browser related issue and not this plugins issue. Remember if a browser does not have an add-on or plugin to open up an XLSM file, it will not open up XLSM files. It will create the gibberish you are currently seeing. Or if the user does not have that software installed in their computer or laptop then the file will not open up and once again they will see gibberish.

I hope the above gives you an idea of your current issue.

Your best bet is my solution above.

    Kind regards
