I thought it was a plugin that allows you to register on a child site without duplicating the user on other sites. Am I right? Or, it should block the creation of users on other sites. I am looking for a solution that will prevent users from being created on other sites. The user must be visible only in the admin area of the site on which he registered.

    Hi @alexterrenas,

Well the plugin sits within the WordPress way of things for Networks and limits this functionality.

If you only give users one site to register on then this plugin will allow you to limit user registration to that one site. So if that’s what you want then it will work for you.

If you want to have different sub-sites, on one Network, open for user registration and bock users admin access from all sites other than the one that they initial register on, then the plugin will not work for you. This is since all subsites that have user registration opened will all allow users to register (and sp get access to the admin side) and once registered on one of the subsites they also would not need to register on the other sites as they automatically become members of the other sites (open for registration) when they attempt to visit them on the admin side.

so as I have mentioned if you only enable only one site on your network for user registration I think it gives you what you want.

Thanks. I want to use the network as a service for different customers, but the sites in it are the same. The only problem is that the registration is on all sites but on their business topics. Administrators should not see other users in their admin panel. Today, I read that it is generally not possible to do. We will wait until there is such an opportunity.

Have you considered having a Multi-Network Installation?

you could use these two together…
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-multi-network/
    and
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/network-subsite-user-registration/ (or not NSUR at all if you don’t mind the users registering on all sites with each network)

that could be what would work for you as each business-site would actually have a separate network. But you still have common themes and plugins.
the user list from all networks is only visible by the Network super admin.

this is generally how I have structured sites and the wp-multi-network works well

No, I have not seen this plugin. Thanks, I’ll try that.

    I came back. You wrote:

I will describe in more detail the essence of the product, perhaps still your plugin should work for me, as far as I understand.

I have there is site for example

    multisite.loc

The network has the first demo demo.multisite.loc which is fully configured and created as a new Assembly when the user logs in.

Total we have a network: multisite.loc and the first demo demo.multisite.loc which is copied as the new default site when you create a new site on the network.

Now I as a super administrator create a website for a new client and call it client1.multisite.loc

The client makes the necessary settings and users begin to register on his website.

    Now we have:

    MultiSite multisite.loc
Demo demo.multisite.loc is used when creating a new site
    Client site: client1.multisite.loc

    And now it is important:

Site client1.multisite.loc begins its work, there are registered users and they should be within only this site. Registration works only on this site.

Next, the second client receives the client2 site.multisite.loc also begins to work already in the niche of business. Here also registration is only for this site, as it is another business.

*People on site1 and site2 are different people. Like 2 different companies.

Will your plugin allow users to be registered only within their sites? Judging by your words, it should work this way, because the user (client) is created manually, and the site is created by the administrator, and only then the client opens the registration for his site. But there you can not get a copy of the site, there is only content.

    Hi @alexterrenas

    When you say..
“*People on site1 and site2 are different people. Like 2 different companies.”

    let me reply…
since you have 2 sites on the same network, then when a user registers on site1 and they just attempt to access the protected (admin) side of site2 they will get registered automatically on site2. This is because both are on the same network and WordPress will consider a user on a network as the same across all sites “open for user registration”.

If you don’t want the user, who registered on site1, to get auto registered on site2 (while site2 is open for registration) then this plugin will not do this for you with only one network. You will need to place site2 onto a new network within the multi-site installation (e.g you have a multi-network installation). That is where https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-multi-network/ help you.

If you have the sub-domain “site2” on the same domain as “site1” (e.g. multisite.loc) you can’t then separate the 2 sites onto different networks so it will not be possible.

    I hope that’s clear ?? .
