No ecom Transaction data being sent

Hi there!

Am I understanding correctly that you’ve already set up WooCommerce Google Analytics and configured it as per https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/google-analytics-integration/ however it is not working in that no data is sent to Google?

Or just the order/transaction details are not forwarded over to analytics?

Would you mind sharing more details about the exact behavior you’re seeing here, along with your store System Status Report?

You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

I just happened to look at one of my client’s sites and I realize that no e-commerce data has been sent since mid October last year?! Everyting is uptodate.

Visitor data is passed along, but no e-commerce data. I have checked in Google Tag Manager and the datalayer seems to fire just fine, but for some reason the data doesn’t register in GA.

Aha… I now realize that it wasn’t the GA plugin that was pushing datalayer information “to GTM”, but the Google Tag Manager plugin when enhanced e-commerce tracking was on.

So you switched it off in the gtm plugin and transactions are now sending? Ive tried similiar but to no avail.

Regarding WooCommerce Google Analytics, note that for transaction data to be sent to Google, as per https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/google-analytics-integration/:

This requires a payment gateway that redirects to the thank you/order received page after payment. Some popular options that do this are Stripe, Braintree for WooCommerce, PayPal Checkout, and Square.

Can you please confirm that your payment gateway does redirect customers to thank you page after purchase?

Also, if you are using universal analytics, have you already Enabled Ecommerce for a view within Google Analytics for transaction data to be recorded?

Yes, the payment gateway redirects to the woo-commerce thank you page after the payment has been made.

In the view settings column, both “Enable E-commerce” and “Enable Enhanced E-commerce Reporting” have been enabled in Google Analytics.
