No email field showing up in product page

I have created a physical gift card product in my shop. I can add all variations to the cart but the there is no email option in the fields that appear below the selection (i.e. “To:”, “Address”, and “Enter your note here”. However on the cart page in the table below the cart, there is an empty field for email. If, in Woocommerce Giftcard settings, I select that an email field is required to check out, it won’t let me checkout even though there is no field. In the source code rendered on the page there is also no field that is hidden from sight.
