I have set the scan to run daily but only receiving emails if I run a scan manually. Emails are handled by an SMTP plugin using OAuth verification. Emails are sent successfully by other plugins. wp cron has been replaced by proper CRON job. All directories are checked for inclusion in the scan and changing the email address to non admin makes no difference. I activated the debug log and this is what I discovered: after the automated scan, only these two lines appear in the log:-

    [13-Mar-2020 18:33:02 UTC] WFCM started scanning: wp-includes
    [13-Mar-2020 18:33:04 UTC] WFCM finished scanning: wp-includes

When I run the manual scan, everything is scanned and the email is sent (and received).

Any ideas what the issue might be?

I have an update for you: at the time the email was sent during the manual scan, a PHP notice appeared in my debug.log starting “PHP Notice: Trying to get property ‘access_token’ of non-object in” and referring to a file in my SMTP plugin. I’m not getting any notices like this when other plugins send emails. Hope this helps.

Thank you for using our plugin and sorry to see you are encountering such an issue @farnely

From what you described it seems that there might be some issue with the SMTP plugin and our plugin etc, however, it is hard to tell without seeing all the logs.

Can you please get in touch with us via email at [email protected] so you can share with us more information (such as logs etc) and troubleshoot this issue?

Looking forward to hearing from you.
