• Hi, I have a problem regarding emails on my WordPress site. on my site when a user registers the link to confirm the profile arrives in his email, practically from yesterday the email no longer arrives. I have made various attempts with the plug-ins, “check email” and “wp email smtp” both say that the emails are sent without any problem but they do not arrive in the recipient’s inbox. I also made sure that the email had not been blocked for spam. But it’s only the automatic emails that don’t arrive, because if I go to the roundcub mailbox that I use for my site and try to send an email, the email arrives at its destination without problems. what could be the solution, because I find it strange that wordpress suddenly stops sending automatic emails

  • HI @jad11

Email is a beast when trying to narrow down issues since most of the functionality happens outside of WordPress.

There are a couple things I would suggest to look at from experience.

First you mention that you are using a SMTP plugin that says the email is being sent. Can you log into the email account and see any of the emails in the sent section? If you are using Gmail this would in the the sent mailbox.

If not, then the plugin may be giving you a false positive. If the emails are there, then I would be looking at your email service provider for issues.

The next thing you can check is disabling all email plugins on the site and trying again. If you have multiple plugins, there may be a conflict between them.

The last thing I can suggest is to look at your server error logs and see if there is anything that stick out there. False positives can be a pain to track down and php error logs tend to provide a lot of feedback if there is a source issue.

    Hi @jad11,

You can try to read this article and maybe this helps.
How to Send Email in WordPress using the Gmail SMTP Server

    Regards,

Sending automated emails to the public email services (gmail, yahoo etc.) from a private webmail is getting harder. To deal with this, you need to configure SMTP at your site to send email via your email account created with any of these public email services ([email protected], [email protected] etc).
