• Hello guys,

I use the plugin qTranslate to provide my blog’s information in German (standard) as well as in English. If I switch to the German version, everything is fine, the date in the comment section is shown as 15. Juni 2011, 8:55 Uhr. But if I change to English, the blog shows: 15th Juni 2011, 8:55.

Actually, I plan to display 15th June 2011, 8:55 am. In my comments.php, the function is just <?php the_date(); ?>. In the backend I typed in jS F Y, g:i a for English and j. F Y, H:i \U\h\r for German. Language code and locale for the first are en and en_US, and for the latter de and de_DE.

The option for the date is set to “Use emulated date function and replace formats with the predefined formats for each language”.

The most strange aspect is that exact these settings works in my test blog which works with the same qTranslate version, the same WordPress version and the exact theme which I just copied from my live blog to the test blog. I even switched off the plugins to see whether they cause the trouble. Nothing happened.

So my question is: What the hell am I doing wrong? Is there another point I could have missed? I’m quite despaired since everything works fine after investing so much time in the localization of my blog.
