    Hey Jordi –

Are the Events ones that you have created, and are they upcoming?

If you could show me your Facebook Page I would be able to look and see if there is a reason they don’t appear.

    Best,
    Richard

    Hi Richard,

Thank you for you quick reply. This is the page:

I made the upcoming event myself indeed.

As you can see here, the posts are showing, but not the event:

Hope you can tell me why.

    Tnx.

    Hey Jordi!

So, I think the issue is that, by default, Facebook only returns upcoming events within the next two weeks.

Your event is scheduled for December 13th, and therefore falls outside of this range.

I’m going to look into an update that will allow you to load events further out than 2 weeks, as that is a bit limiting, and I will let you know when it is ready!

    Best,
    Richard

    Hi Richard,

Ok tnx. I’ll wait for your update. Hopefully this will be done soon ;). Do you have any idea when this is fixed? There isn’t a solution for now?

    Grtz,

    Hey Jordi!

I’m working on the fix, but in testing I am unable to reproduce your specific issue.

When I load the standard feed, I get a screen like what you have on your dev site. However, when I toggle “Show Events Only”, I see the following:
    https://awesomescreenshot.com/0df3qepgad

So, the event in question is loading for me. The settings on my test site are relatively vanilla, in that I haven’t changed them from their defaults – can you let me know what your local IKFB settings are?

I still continue to work on the patch, as I have a few other related reports that I will address too.

    Best,
    Richard

    Hi Richard,

I have all the default options set. What exactly is it you want to know?

    Grtz,

    Hey Jordi!

I’m not sure what I’m looking for – I was just hoping to see what you have set differently than I do.

Can you confirm that when you have Show Only Events, no events show?

If you send me an e-mail at [email protected], I have a patched file you can try uploading to see if it addresses your issue.

    Best,
    Richard

    Hi Richard,

Weird. When I make a new event for next sunday, both events are shown. So also the event on 13th december.

    Can you explain this?

    Hey Jordi!

Well, I never had an issue getting your single event to load, so I’m wondering if you had some bad data cached (we cache our graph API requests.) It takes 15 minutes for the cache to clear, which is long enough to think it isn’t working.

When you remove the new event, do they both disappear? If not, I’m tempted to say this was a caching issue that was occurring for you. However, FB’s documentation clearly states the within 2 weeks by default range – but their documentation isn’t always accurate.

    Best,
    Richard
