Not functional and stats show “0”

    On a particular website the plugin doesn’t work.

    It doesn’t lockdown at all after login with noin-existing username and random passphrase.

    The stats show values “0”.

    I have installed all updates. The backlink is in place at backend login.

    It just doesn’t work on this website.

    EDIT: I see it doesn’t work on other websites too.

    They just show old stats. But function is no.

    Hi,

    I see /wp-admin/ and wp-login.php are disabled. I could not find the login page so I assume it’s set to something custom using a different plugin. If that plugin also handles the actual authentication using it’s own functions instead of standard wp authentication hooks then Login Lockdown can’t know that a user is trying to authenticate and keep track of failed logins. It will only work with the standard wp authentication flow or plugins that use that.

    I tried it on and received the error after multiple failed attempts with the user roller-aus-blech:
    ERROR: We’re sorry, but this IP has been blocked due to too many recent failed login attempts.

    I see one lockdown in the stats but i am not able to reproduce that. I can’t force any lockdown. It lets me do as often I want. Nevermind whether the user exists or not.

    I even tried mobile with 3G mobile to get another IP.

    Edit: I just have tested a third site. There it works as expected. Stats are actual and I’m being locked by IP.

    The Zauner site is the most curious one because there are stats stying at “0”. Also after doing changes these are being resetted.

    Zauner is using a right-click prevention for the frontend. I have just checked that out and deactivated the plugin. But no changes.

    I have nothing against of showing the backlink. Just for testing I deactivated it -> Page reloads and the changes are not being applied.

    Roller-aus-Blech is very basic WordPress stuff.

    I have been very satisfied and about your plugin and advertized it on my website. I just was curious of these “0” values on the Zauner website and recognized there “could” be issues.

    Letting aside this strange behaviour that you have been locked while I wasn’t able to force a lockdown, the website where everything works as expected is using with PHP 8.0.27, while Zauner and Roller are more progressive using PHP 8.2.1
