ClassicPress is a fork of WP 4.9, but as i mentioned, i believe the issue existed with WP 5.5.1 as well

ClassicPress is essentially the same as WordPress 4.9 from which it was forked

millions of people were/are very disappointed that the WP devs forced the Gutenberg/block editor upon them, thus the birth of ClassicPress

your plugin requires a min. version of WP 3, thus it should work with ClassicPress, however if you don’t wish to support it, i understand
