No files found template not working

I can’t reproduce the problem on my end, https://lesterchan.net/wordpress_dev/downloads/ it works fine.

Strange. I tested it on multiple sites.

For example:

I have 174 files available for download

So I put this in a new post:

And that’s the result:

Not even the empty paragraph is there.

Template settings for “no files found”:

It is [download id="99"] You will need the quotes.

Interesting. Never used the shortcode with quotes and everything worked.

But, even with quotes, the content of the “not found template” is NOT showing up in the post.

Okie. I remember now (I have to check the code to refresh my memory). The not found template is only displayed for the downloads page and not the embedded file within the post.

Any chance this behavior could be changed, so that it also gets displayed when used on single pages and posts?

You probably have to add a else statement and display the template
