    Hello there!

I have an Ivory Search form set up in the form’s header, but using an HTML snippet (via plugin). (Look at the search widget at the top right: https://mclib.info/ — “Site Search” is Ivory Search)

I noticed that for some reason, the form field is surrounded by a <label>, but that label doesn’t have an ID, and the input doesn’t say what it’s labeled by:

    <label> <input type="search" name="s" value class="is-search-input" placeholder="Search site" autocomplete="off" style> </label>

Do you know why this might be? It’s an accessibility concern.

    Thank you! ??

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

I visited your shared website but didn’t see any search form on it created using the Ivory Search plugin.

Please make sure that you are using the latest version of the Ivory Search plugin and clear the autoptimize cache that you are using on your website.

    Best regards,

    Thanks for responding!

I cleared the autoptimize cache (as well as cloudflare), but am still getting the same issue.

At the top right, in the header, you’ll see a little search widget with two options: Library Catalog and Site Search. If you click on Site Search, the search bar that appears is Ivory Search.

I cleared the autoptimize cache (as well as cloudflare), but am still getting the same issue.

Could you please temporarily deactivate the autoptimize cache on your website?

Had you made sure that you are using the latest version of the Ivory Search plugin?

pro-tip; you can disable Autoptimize on a per-request basis by adding ?ao_noptimize=1 to the URL.

if the problem is not there at that point, some autoptimize (re-)configuration might be needed to fix this. there are troubleshooting tips and info on how to exclude in the AO FAQ.

    hope this helps debugging,

I could confirm the issue and fixed it in the latest released plugin version 4.5.6 so please update the plugin on your website.
