    Hello,

I noticed on my old Ipad Air (software version 12.5.7, model number MD788FD/A) that the Twenty Twenty Three theme has no outside spaces. You can also clearly see it in the missing spaces in the navigation (“About” and “Parent Page”). Here is a picture of the display in Chrome and Safari browsers on my old Ipad:

However, when I call up the Twenty Twenty Three theme on my desktop PC or mobile phone, it is displayed normally (with spacing):

So is this just because of the old Ipad or is it a major issue and it may show incorrectly (without spaces) on new Ipads as well, so that it’s a bug in the theme?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @normalusername I used BrowserStack to test the TT3 theme on an iPad Air 2019. I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue.

Do you have any plugins on your site? Can you please try to deactivate them and then check the site again. Also, does the issue persist when you are using a different theme?

Kindly check if all softwares on your old iPad are upto date including the browser.

    Hi,

I also tested the Twenty Twenty Two theme. The distances in the navigation are not available there either. Everything else is ok.

I think my iPad Air is from 2014. The software version is iOS 12.5.7 and due to age no newer versions are possible for iPad. The browser is up to date. It has nothing to do with plugins because none are installed.

So it probably has something to do with the age of the device. Not with the theme.

    Thank you anyway!

    Hey there @normalusername

Yep, I think you’re spot on. iPads running an old version of iOS are also running a very old version of Safari and Chrome. Older browsers unfortunately don’t support many of the modern CSS layout techniques used in Twenty Twenty-Three and Twenty Twenty-Two, so that is likely the reason for the display issues.

For example, you can see in this chart that Safari for iOS prior to 14.4 – as well as older versions of Chrome and other browsers – does not support the flexbox-gap property, which is used to create gaps between elements in modern web design.

Let me know if you have other questions!

Ah ok, thanks. Now it is comprehensible.
