No guidance, causes conflict with Featured Image
-
The plugin provides little to no insight for newer users to get started. If I wasn’t already familiar with generating Apps and Tokens I would have had no clue what I was supposed to do to set up this plugin. The columns setting in the shortcode didn’t work, and the presentation of media is uncontrollable. Images span 100% by default, and no image captions are included from the original post. It looks as though I just created a static page and only loaded it with large images with awkward gaps between them.
It also conflicts with the Featured Image module, so with the current version of WordPress and current version of this plugin you will not be able to define featured images for any content added after the installation of this plugin. I do not recommend using this until the developer improves the media containers, incorporates aspects of your active theme’s CSS and fixes the Featured Image conflict.
There’s promise for a great plugin, and I look forward to being able to use it. At the moment, however, it’s more trouble than help and I do not feel comfortable using this resource on a website that I am delivering to clients.
I will me more than happy to adjust my review when the developer releases the next version.
