• The photo used to show this theme is misleading. You cannot add a header photo – like the one shown – without buying a $5 plugin. I’m surprised that WordPress allows a photo of the Premium Theme to be used.

    Hi there,

Very sorry that the screenshot seems misleading to you – that’s not our intention.

You can actually add a header photo just like the screenshot using the free theme – that screenshot was built using the free theme – none of our add-ons.

To add a featured image like in the photo, you can use the core Featured Image feature: https://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/

If the presence of text is what mislead you, then I understand. Currently, www.ads-software.com frowns upon themes adding any kind of text to your website, as they want to avoid content loss when themes are changed. The text in the page header in our screenshot is a part of a regular image.

Some themes are doing this (adding content), but it’s generally frowned upon.

In the future if the rules are made a little more clear, we plan on integrating our Page Header add-on – which allows for text and other things in the page header – into the free theme.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns ??

To avoid this kind of confusion in the future, we’ve added a knowledgebase article showing how to replicate the screenshot of our theme step by step using the free version.

You can find the article here.

    Thanks ??
