• Just testing pages. If I add /amp to any page, it finds the amp page – except for the home page. I tried it on another website with a different theme and had the same result. It just pulls in posts, but not the actual homepage content. Any ideas?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • OK you seem to have a few issues. Lets look at a simple page first

    https://maplesonmedia.com/about/amp/

You will notice that this page is not an AMP page at all. In fact none of your pages have AMP versions from what I can see clicking about.
    https://validator.ampproject.org/#url=http%3A%2F%2Fmaplesonmedia.com%2Fabout%2Famp%2F

First of all set the default for the plugin to hide all pages. This is because you will need to choose what pages are going to have an AMP version. You are going to need control over what gets an AMP version and what doesn’t.

Now pick a page. Try to use the custom AMP editor to make your AMP version and click unhide in the sidebar. You can then do this for other pages including your home page. Its going to be a long process. You may also want to set up a new menu for your AMP “site”. You can do this by creating a new menu and setting its location using normal wordpress admin.

You will not be able to use automatic conversion of your pages into AMP as they are using a lot of javascript to do nice things on top of images etc – for example https://maplesonmedia.com/web-design/ . Your only realistic choice is to build your AMP site manually, page by page.
