• I installed the plugin and there is a new field in the Users area (I was expecting there to just be an upload button near the already existing profile picture).

So I uploaded a picture to the new field and saved it. Problem is it’s not overriding the default one that you can’t change.

Why else would you use this plugin? The override function should be on by default.

The instructions to add the override function are not clear unless you understand PHP. Plugins aren’t for people who understand PHP, we use plugins because we don’t understand PHP and we want to use buttons and checkboxes and fields to do what we want.

Override is on by default and should update your avatar on the top right. It should also update it on the front-end for comment avatars.

This plugin does have expectations from a coding standpoint, but that is for developers, not you.

The Gravatar on your user profile page shouldn’t update. There’s not a way to override this section, hence my solution.

Please leave a support thread next time. Ratings are not for support.

Well it’s not overriding my default gravatar. I uploaded an image using this plug-in but the gravatar is still what shows up on the front end.

I looked at “details” and it talks about using code to enable override.

I found a different plug-in that does override by default. Much easier.

Thanks for that info. What theme are you using and what plugin did you find that did what you want?

I understand the frustrstion and csn use both pieces of information to improve this plugin for users such as yourself.
