No idea what I'm doing.

I’ll try to include as much information and back story that I can think of. I’ve been wanting to start a blog for a while now and decided last night that I was going to. I went over to wordpress.com and signed up and started messing around with things. I also bought a domain and had it mapped there. Later in the night I read that they (normally) don’t allow ads, and that if I wanted to have some, I would need to host it myself. Then I came across the WordPress hosting on godaddy.com I signed up for 2 months of hosting.

This is where I’ve become completely confused. I figured WordPress would already be installed (and I think it may be), and that it would have the same interface with what I was working on over at wordpress.com. I have NO idea what to do from this point, I’ve been googling for a while and still haven’t come up with anything.

Can anyone point me in a direction on what I need to do to get started, or possibly answer the question?
