No image caption on Simple Lightbox?

Hi, currently using pro masonry gallery and have captions over the thumbnails which are from the ‘descriptions’ field, but unfortunately these captions dont appear on the simple lightbox – we haven’t used any CSS to remove these, in fact looking in the browser web inspector the syntax for the caption doesn’t even exist. Any ideas?
