No image preview missing when I share on xing

@silviapinjuh We can confirm that the correct open graph tags are being generated for your website. Upon checking Xing’s documentation on sharing a link on its platform, it doesn’t provide any information on what protocol it uses. When you try to share your link, the title and description loads but doesn’t show an image?

Would it be possible for you to contact the Xing support team and clarify if they use the open graph protocol or if there is a validator tool that can be used to check the social preview output?

I received a reply of the xing support team and they wrote:

? We obtain the displayed information about a published link via so-called Open Graph Meta-Tags of the respective website. The data stored here is not provided by us, but by the owner of the website itself, so that we have no influence on the displayed information about the link. Therefore, please contact the administrator of the respective website to update the information. Especially important are the tags og:title, og:description and og:image.“

@silviapinjuh so they have indeed confirmed that they are using the open graph meta tags to generate a preview for a title, image, and description when sharing a link on their platform. You mentioned that the issue you are encountering is that when you try and share the link, you are unable to see the image but the title and description loaded just fine? We can confirm that the og:image tag is working as expected and loads a proper image, but we’re not sure why it isn’t outputting on their platform. Perhaps you could try setting another image or picture for the og:image tag and see if this results in any changes, or you could get back to their support team and ask why only the image isn’t displaying but the other tags are.
