no images imported for mission news demo

  • Hi Support,
    I like the look of Mission News Theme a lot but I have the same problem as itshtelucifer had 12 months ago on https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/unable-to-import-from-mission-demo-data/. When I import the mission-news-demo, it returns Failed to import Media “city-street” etc for every image, ending with Failed to import Media “Logo” for the 86th image. Ben Sibley resolved this issue then
    May I have a link to import just the media files, please? The link in the reply to itshtelucifer has gone/moved.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the link, I downloaded the xml file to my computer successfully but when I followed the steps to import and run the xml file it returned the same errors. Failed to import Media “xx…” for all the media files.
    However, one thing I noticed was that unlike the other files on the Tools/import page WordPress said Run Importer and NOT Install Now|Details. I didn’t get a chance to install the file I wanted to install. I thought about uninstalling and reinstalling Mission News Theme but decided I would still have the same problem.

    Hmm okay let’s try breaking it up. I’ve split the import into two files since the issue is normally that the import takes too long and times out before it can finish. Here are the download links:

    As for the menu, I think it’s okay. It’s letting you know that you’ve already installed the WP importer and can run it now. If you clicked “install” for one of the other importers, they would display the same button.
