I’m trying to create a new slider and upload my own images and it looks like the upload progress occurs but no thumbnail appears, just a solid color box. When embedding the widget into a page sure enough there is no image there. I’m using the Augustus theme, which Soliliquy update page in WP says is 100% compatible with this version.

Before I get the ubiquitous response that it’s a third-party plug-in conflict — the only other plug-in that is active is Contact Form 7 v3.8. The only other plug-in installed but not active is Akismet v3.0.0.

I get no JavaScript console errors on the Soliloquy edit slider page during/after upload.

Update: I found that I cannot upload any files into WordPress now so suspect some dir permissions have changed. I discovered this while trying to install a new slider plug-in. This upload procedure gave me a helpful error message though, Soliloquy didn’t say a word.

Intriguing. Soliloquy doesn’t do any native checking for uploads because that is a WordPress core issue (Soliloquy uses core methods to make it happen), so generally core will let you know if something is up before you ever get to the issue with Soliloquy.

Regardless, glad you have debugged what the issue might be.

Thanks for your response. It was a directory permissions issue. But there should still be some kind of error handling built into Soliloquy I would think that should indicate this rather than place an empty box placeholder where the image thumbnail would go and then not provide any feedback. The WP plug-in installer and Media uploader provides this.
