    Hello,

My site automatically updated to WordPress 4.0.1 yesterday and now none of the images show up. When I hover over the image links the URL reads “Undefined”.

Please can someone help, as I have several hundred images missing now!

    Cheers,
    Nichola

can you link to your site so we can see what you mean?

also, what plugins (active and inactive) and theme are on your site?

    Hi Jack,

My site is https://www.writerscollegeblog.co.za/. The theme I run is Duplex by Orman Clark at Themezilla. I have deactivated all plugins this morning, apart from the freshly installed ‘Regenerate Thumbnails’, which has had no effect as yet.

Images in the slider, all featured images, and all thumbnails fail to appear.

    Thanks.

in your admin panel try switching to the default wordpress theme, i’ve got a feeling that it’s your theme that’s the problem. on the themezilla site it’s saying that it hasn’t been updated since 16 Jul 2013, that’s never a good thing…

I activated the default theme – and the images are still not there, so it isn’t a theme issue.

    Any other ideas to try?

It seems, after reading some other threads here, that many of us are experiencing the same issue with our media library images not showing, since the upgrade to 4.0.1. So it is unlikely to be theme-related, and has something to do with the upgrade.

can you list the plugins you have on your site both active and inactive?

I have a similar problem – did you solve yours yet?
