No images showing in media library month year folders

    Greetings,

    I have checked under Media Settings – Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders.

    This works, all my files are under months and year folders. No problem.

    When I go to filter in the media library by a specific month and year, there are not images shown. When I put the filter to “All dates” then all the images show up.

    I checked in my actual folders on the server and WP is storing each media file in the correct folder for the month and year.

    How can I get the media library to show me the files for a month and year?

    have you check the media file’s date when you check in the actual folders? Are they the same date?

    Yes, I have checked. All the files in each folder are NOT the same date. However, there dates are within the correct month for the folder they are in.

    I can look into each folder and each year and everything looks normal. However, in WP Media Library, I can only see the images when All Date is filtered.

    When I select by month/year, no images are displayed. It’s weird

    Oh, wait a second…after looking WAY back, I’m seeing in folders from 2014 the files are dates for 2017. This may have been when they moved providers and copied the folders over.

    Interesting…if a file with a date/time stamp of 8/20/2017 and is in a folder marked as 2014/03, would that cause problems? In my mind, I think it would.

    that’s what I suspected… file’s timestamps changed during migration.
