    Hello

I have just spent $120 downloading 3 plugins, one of them being the Indeed Integration plugin. I cannot get the plugin to display ANY Indeed vacancies. I am referring to this site

I downloaded it after reading in full the plugin page on Mike’s site.

I signed up to Indeed as a publisher and obtained a publisher ID – it wasn’t as clear to find as I was expecting, so I am hoping I found the correct one. It read … Your publisher ID is“1234123412341234” << I’v obviously changed that.

Then I followed the visual clues in the 2nd image as found on the link just above on Mikes page. I filled in all the same boxes and the plug in is not displaying any vacancies from Indeed.

Can someone please look at this page and tell me why? https://www.travelbloggersunite.com/tbu-jobs/

I am not a techy so please go easy on me. I have spent hours trying to troubleshoot this and I am very confident I have followed all the instructions.

I feel this could be either a theme error OR it could be a bug with the plugin/version of WP I have.

I am not asking for customisation, just for Mike or someone else to look at it as a techy can and tell me what the main crux of the problem is and if I can change it easily in the settings or a file somewhere. Or if I need to get a coder involved.

    Thanks in advance!

    Oliver

    Further more….

I looked at the page source and see this

    <div class=”showing_jobs”></div>
    </form><ul class=”job_listings”>Load more job listings</div>
    <span id=”indeed_at”>jobs by <img style=”border: 0; vertical-align: middle;” alt=”Indeed job search” src=”https://www.indeed.com/p/jobsearch.gif&#8221; /></span></p>

Is there anything there that shouldn’t be? And which could be causing a conflict?

Don’t you need to add the shortcode to your page(s)?

If you are finding Indeed listings are not appearing:

    1. Ensure you are looking at the page with the [jobs] shortcode
    2. Ensure your publisher key is numeric (don’t include quote chars etc)
    3. Ensure you’ve set up Indeed listings to appear before or after your local jobs in the settings
    4. Ensure you are running the latest version of WP JOB MANAGER – older versions don’t have the hooks needed

Lemme know if that solves it.

    Thanks Mike

How do I update the plugin manually? I can’t seem to do it automatically through WordPress

Cancel that, I’m just gonna start from scratch

Should be automatic updates for all plugins, esp job manager. Latest is 1.7.3

    (@oliverg81)

It wasn’t automatic Mike, I had to do it Manually.

I was on 1.5.0 Job Manager, now using 1.7.3

    As for your suggestions…

    1. [jobs] shortcode is placed on this page >> https://www.travelbloggersunite.com/tbu-jobs/ …. where the listings are not appearing.

    2. I only have a numerical publisher ID = 3130406584052XXX (X = hidden number for security)

    3. Settings….

    SITE TYPE = All Websites
    DEFAULT QUERY = Social Media
    DEFAULT LOCATION = London
    DEFAULT TYPE = Full time
    DEFAULT COUNTRY = gb
    BACKFILLING (NO RESULTS) = 0
    BACKFILL BEFORE JOBS = 5
    BACKFILL AFTER JOBS = 0
    BACKFILL PER PAGE = 0
    ATTRIBUTION = √

    4. As above, I am using WP Job Manager 1.7.3

    BACKFILLING (NO RESULTS) = 0

You have no local results – increase that value.

Thanks Mike, that worked. I presume it was a combination of the updated plugin version and increasing that value.

    Appreciate the help.

    Glad its resolved ??

    Heya,

I just downloaded the indeed integration plugin from your website (now on https://www.schmobs.com.

Can you please let me know whether it is possible to make my job filters work with the jobs I pulled (i.e. if i tick the internship box, can I make internship jobs appear?).

Additionally, I would like to be able to filter so that I do not find any jobs which require a degree or X amount of experience. Is there anyway I could do a IF CONTAINS kind of search?

Alternatively, is it possible to say FIND ALL JOBS THAT INCLUDE “APPRENTICESHIP”, “INTERN” OR “XX” and ONLY show those jobs in the search results?

    Thanks

@kikee122 please post a new thread in future.

It will search based on the user’s selections, but only 1 job type at a time as this is all Indeed supports. Any extra filters would need to be a customisation as it doesn’t handle this logic for you.
